In Australia and New Zealand, you don't actually need a prescription to purchase a CPAP Machine, however, it is recommended. Remember, a CPAP machine is not a toy, and consider your options and seek medical advice before purchasing one.

We are happy to Set Up your CPAP Machine at No Extra Charge, before Shipping, if you give us a clear copy of your Pressure Settings / Prescription from your doctor.

Play It Again Enterprises strongly advises you to have a Sleep Lab or Service test you for Sleep Apnea before treatment and be managed ongoing by your doctor, clinic or specialist.
We can help interpret your SD Card data, but this does not replace the need to be monitored as mentioned above.

Important Notes:

Auto machines are not appropriate for the treatment of Centra Sleep Apnea (CSA) or where patients have Conjestive Heart Failure. If you have one of these conditions, please consult your doctor as we cannot supply an auto machine unless prescribed by your doctor.

Please note:

"Because the management of a patient on CPAP is a shared responsibility, good
communication and clear delineation of duties is critical to overall success. Different
sleep clinics have established different models of CPAP provision where the levels of
responsibility delegated to an external supplier of services may vary.

Some sleep clinics may perform some or many of the services detailed in the document in-house,
others may delegate most services to the CPAP provider. The patient’s general
practitioner may also be involved in aspects of care. The split of duties is not critical to
the overall success of treatment provided that all aspects are effectively managed by
one party or another and there are effective lines of communication. The level of
delegation will depend on individual circumstances and is to be decided between
sleep clinic, general practitioner and provider. Irrespective of the agreed model,
delegation of aspects of care does not absolve the referring doctor or sleep clinic from
taking primary responsibility for overall coordination of the patient’s management of
their sleep disorder". (Source: www.sleep.org.au)

Wikipedia defines Sleep Apnea as:

"Sleep apnea (or sleep apnoea in British English; / lt æpˈniːə /) is a type of sleep disorder characterized by pauses in breathing or instances of shallow or infrequent breathing during sleep. Each pause in breathing, called an apnea, can last for several seconds to several minutes, and may occur 5 to 30 times or more in an hour.lt [1] Similarly, each abnormally shallow breathing event is called a hypopnea. Sleep apnea is classified as a dyssomnia, meaning abnormal behavior or psychological events occur during sleep.[2] When breathing is paused, carbon dioxide is building up the bloodstream. Chemoreceptors in the blood stream note the high carbon dioxide levels. The brain is signaled to wake the person sleeping and breathe in air. Breathing normally will restore oxygen levels and the person will fall asleep again.[3] Sleep apnea is often diagnosed with an overnight sleep test called a polysomnogram, or "sleep study"."

The benefits of treatment include: Lowering Blood Pressure, Losing Weight, Reducing Day Time Sleepyness, More Energy, improved Cognitive Function to name a few.
